  1. My brother inlaw is being deployed to Houma, LA for a week for training with helping with the clean up, then he'll be stationed somewhere in the Gulf for the next 2-3 months. He is a Coast Guard Reservist. Just thought maybe you could give a shout out to the men and woman of the Coast Guard who are willing to leave thier families behind to help where they are needed the most.

    Thanks,

  3. It is great to see companies getting a kick in the teeth for the environmental damage that they do. As an observer, I find the Americans coming saying things like 'lets seize their assets' make American sound like a bunch of hypocrites.

I am not sure how many Americans have heard of the Bhopal disaster in India disaster which was caused by an American pesticide company in 1984. The victims of the disaster are still waiting for justice and compensation. I heard on the radio that one survivor who lost 11 members of her family was offered only 5 cents in compensation!!. Are 11 lives work only 5 cents?. Some 2,000 people lost their lives and 500,000 ere exposed to toxic gases. This is the fault of an American company. So where is the outrage from Americans?

I just wish that Americans would fight for environmental justice for EVERYONE.

How long must the people of Bhopal wait?

How many children have been orphanned and grown up with mothers, fathers?

You can read the Guardian article about the Bhopal disaster. http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2010/jun/08/bhopal-disaster-unfinished-business-editorial
